Future of Care Strategy

Advising healthcare leaders and innovators on how to translate long-term visions of future care delivery into concrete decisions about systems, investments, and technology. Using back-casting and scenario planning to turn strategic ambition into choices that can be made — and acted on — today.

Mediclinic Group2021–2025

Enterprise Innovation Hub

Led the creation and direction of a group-wide innovation function spanning Southern Africa, the Middle East, and Switzerland. Built and governed a rigorous pipeline — from opportunity discovery through validation to piloting — that engaged employees across all regions and converted a high volume of ideas into a small number of execution-ready initiatives, each assessed against desirability, viability, feasibility, and strategic fit. Established the governance frameworks, incubator and accelerator mechanisms, and decision logic needed to make innovation work at scale — aligned with group strategy, risk appetite, and operational constraints.

GF Machining Solutions2018–2021

Innovation Capability & Product Commercialisation

Built and led the design thinking and business model innovation function inside a global advanced manufacturing group. Enabled the development, launch, and commercialisation of 12 digitally enabled products and services — across laser, additive manufacturing, milling, and EDM portfolios — by embedding customer value and business model thinking into core development processes. Upskilled more than 10% of the organisation in customer-centric problem framing and value-driven decision-making.

ECSI Consulting2014–2018

Business Model Innovation Consulting

Led multi-year innovation strategy engagements helping B2B organisations move from product-centric to integrated, value-based offerings. Designed and supported pilots across three continents, and embedded foresight and scenario planning into leadership decision-making as ongoing mechanisms — not one-off exercises.

Politecnico di Milano2005–2012

Academic Research & Teaching

Led EU-funded research programmes on strategic design and innovation systems. Co-directed the Master in Strategic Design. Published peer-reviewed research on design-driven innovation — cited 175+ times — exploring how organisations use meaning and design as strategic levers for competitive advantage.
